I have been to this creek twice know, going again in November. When we went to the on the first night, I nearly got a fish, but I lost it a few feet from the bank. Rinse and repeat the next morning with my dad and we had it in the net. However, this was our first time here, so we had a tiny net. It got out and we lost it. The second time we went in January and we didn’t even get a bite. In October, you could see the fish go up and down the creek, running almost violently. According to the pa fish and game commission, they can go twenty five miles per hour in the streams. This is a very good creek and I would recommend it over Walnut Creek, as it isn’t shoulder to shoulder fishing, and is fished by very nice people, several which we found out were from our area! I would suggest going in late November to early December, and bring at least ten lure minnows, as they run out quickly on the rocky shallow bottom.
abandoned golf course turned into a park with a small creek with rather large steelhead that enter the stream from a small yacht club very fun to fish lots of water to fish as well you can walk probably 1 and a half miles of creek to fish before the fish are unable to get any further upstream the fish go into the stream in the early fall to spawn all winter before leaving in mid spring with the newborn steelhead to go into the lake, grow and then repeat the process next year. all around a very fun place to take a beginner or an experienced fisherman to go fish or to just enjoy the sight of wild steelhead spawning to observe how they live, what they feed on, and how they act. hope this was helpful, tight lines.
