Love this spot, only been here 3 times but get a ton of bites and have caught a fair amount of fish. See a good amount of people fishing here and even in kayaks, would love to try that some day but for right now we’re fishing from the small dock. The park opens at about 5am (sunrise - sunset) and closes around 8pm...you will know when they are closing when you hear a cop yelling out that they will give citations if you don’t leave. I have only tried worms (beginning and do not know what else to use) and does bring some fish along, probably will keep using them till i feel like experimenting. Overall, Espada Lake is a great spot and would recommend going. Have a good day, have a good night, make sure you’re keeping it REEL👀 and good luck fishing🎣
