Coming from someone who has never fished down in the Lower 48 before, O’Leary is a great place to learn how to fish and catch a many species of the great Mississippi River. I’ve seen anything from bluegill, bass, sheepshead, to sturgeons, gars, catfish, and pike. I’m sure there much more in there but just naming a few. Awesome!
Great fishery both on the water and through the ice. There is no swimming allowed at the lake so it reduces the amount of recreational boaters. It is a private lake and retires multiple passes in order to fish but if you’re a land owner or know someone would highly recommend fishing here.
