Coldwater is my favorite place to fish on this planet it has all the species a fresh water angler could ask for massive pike and large health bass, smallmouth also have been noted here black crappie are also a very common species if you know were to look but I think the south east Basin is the best for pike and it is a family friendly area that is quite and peaceful except for the early morning skiers that can get To be a pain they can be wreck less as well, but they are just happy to have fun and usually are not that big of an issue as we have to share the lake. And the lake on weekdays is just amazing for most of the people are older and retired and are very nice. Downsides the lake has many many sandbars and without someone who has been on the lake a wile you will have to be very cautious but there is no floating logs or stuff just be aware of the sandbars they can be good for fishing bit not the bottom of a boat. But that’s it the lake is the greatest ever and I would gladly give it 5 stars and a recommendation to anyone.
Atwood lake is a beautiful lake, water is clear and you can see bottom almost everywhere. There are a lot of fish here including perch, carp, blue gills, crappie, bowfin, pike, gar, and both large and smallmouth bass. Tricky part is it’s also full of weeds and can be hard to fish most of the time. If you can find a way to fish the extra weedy areas without wrapping your motor up you could pull out some really nice sized fish.
