I live in Jackson and have been fishing here since I was a young buck, awesome pan fishing for anyone including the kids. Great bullhead fishing. For bass I recommend a kayak. Recently on the north side of the pond there are some pike and bass in the lay downs. I’ve probably caught a thousand fish here and would recommend trying out this awesome place.

I have a boat on Golden Lake and fish often.

I come to Golden and I fish often here and it's lovely. It's nice and quiet "before 4 pm😉" but before then it depends on the place and time of day when you're fishing. I have caught tons of blue gills, and right now, I'm chasing after a small largemouth that's staying by one of the boat holding places for a friend's speed boat. I recommend fishing back by the weeds in the way back of the lake because it's quiet and fish are seen very often. I also recommend the food at both the Golden Lake Pub and Miller's Sandy Beach by the public beach. I fish off a pair by the beach but in a private area. Golden Lake is my home for most nights during the summer, and I just love the fish here. Even the blue gill by the peirs can be pretty big. I will also be catching most of my fish here.
