I live in Jackson and have been fishing here since I was a young buck, awesome pan fishing for anyone including the kids. Great bullhead fishing. For bass I recommend a kayak. Recently on the north side of the pond there are some pike and bass in the lay downs. I’ve probably caught a thousand fish here and would recommend trying out this awesome place.
Lots of bluegill by the dock, if you want to take your kids out or introduce them to fishing this lake is pretty good. Just get a worm and hook then drop it straight down underneath the dock and I’ll guarantee you’ll get a little bluegill or sunfish. Bass are usually in the weeds, I recommend top waters and a wacky rig to fish it. Also there’s very limited parking, I think there’s 6 spots so come there quick lol.
