I have fished out of Pole cat creek for 30+ years it's a great little ramp with 2 boat ramps ( caution the ramp on the right is only 78 feet long on low water this can be an issue). The parking lot is well lite and secure. Theirs a nice flat grassy area to bank fish or picnic. Bring a trash bag because there's no trash cans at the ramp area.

These waters raised me and are good to everyone who respect it. There are tons of species in different areas. The bass want smaller more realistic lures, the bluegill are tricky. The crappie are about normal and so are the catfish, but a live bait on a circle hook like a bluegill is fine. Carp like bread and corn. Those are the main, and skipjack are starting to move in, you can catch them with the same stuff as the white bass. There are drum, sheep’s head, walleye, sturgeon, and gar and maybe a few other odd balls. For most things a minnow will be fine. Thanks for reading my review and please respect my home waters!
