Great spot on TN river, just behind campus. came up on a recommend from a friend. After about an hour and a few bites but nothing to show for it. Landed nice green sunfish. About 20 minute later pole folds in half 8lb catfish. And while removing his hook. Landed a little striped. Great clean area off bike trail. Can walk up a bit and fish third creek too. I bottom fish mainly. Throw lures in the creek. But love this spot.

I have fished out of Pole cat creek for 30+ years it's a great little ramp with 2 boat ramps ( caution the ramp on the right is only 78 feet long on low water this can be an issue). The parking lot is well lite and secure. Theirs a nice flat grassy area to bank fish or picnic. Bring a trash bag because there's no trash cans at the ramp area.
