Newfound is awesome for those who wish to chase after big smallies. Now, it isn’t always easy to catch them, especially in the summertime, but it would be well worth your effort to put in lots of time here to figure it out. Also, the ramp and parking is arguably the best in NH.

Fairlee is a great little town in VT to put the cell phone down for a bit. A couple of restaurants close by and a little grocery store in the center of town. Mainly summer residents. Plenty of outdoor activities within a 20 min drive. Two fantastic lakes for fishing that are practically side by side.
