I’ve hooked and caught some really good fish out of here and been fishing here all my life. There’s a wide variety of fish and no one really fishes it hardcore from what I’ve seen recently so if your in or near Plattsburgh NY or any of the docking areas in Vermont etc. I’d try it out
If you have a boat you can prowl the bays for monster bass and pike almost year round, though if you don't have a boat you can mainly only catch fish in the late spring, summer and fall. Ice fishing has seemed to slow down recently due to the warming climate, so be very careful if you plan on ice fishing. Topwater in the fall here is SO much fun..
