We are surveying this lake for a new church they are building. As of this date they have drained the lake and are in the process of dredging and cleaning it up. The lake will not be refilled and should be a creek and channel from this date forward. The homes around the lake will eventually be demolished and clearing has already begun. RIP Maddox Lake.

This lake was the first lake I’ve ever fished and it was great. I don’t enjoy writing reviews, but this lake is review worthy. I was walking past one day and the man who lives on the dam on the side closest to the road asked me if I liked fishing. I said yes and he invited me to fish their. He said he would like for me to spread the word, because he loves fisherman on his property. I had a truly amazing experience catching my pb fish at 6 pounds 3 ounces. This lake is absolutely wonderful
