From the shore and docks, you mostly catch catfish and perch at the lake, but there are some areas where you most likely will catch some bass. Over half of the shoreline is closed to fishing, although the part that is open has great fishing spots, but if you want to access the whole lake, you can bring in a canoe. As I’ve seen it through going down the trails, there are a lot of good bass fishing spots if you have a canoe to fish from.
A friend and I are always looking for new fishing holes and she sent me this place to check out. Her and I both came out and tried chicken liver for catfish and have just been sitting and relaxing. Very impressed with the park. Very well established, calm and quiet, and all and all, will definitely be coming back.
