Underrated Fishery

I seem to catch one almost every time I fish here. It isn’t as pressured as most places around here and it seems like most of the time, the few people that are fishing are pan-fishing. The only downsides are that some of the larger bass seem like they’re not getting a lot of food. Also Henderson Park has always had a ton of Copperheads, so be careful if you’re fishing in a lot of cover.

From the shore and docks, you mostly catch catfish and perch at the lake, but there are some areas where you most likely will catch some bass. Over half of the shoreline is closed to fishing, although the part that is open has great fishing spots, but if you want to access the whole lake, you can bring in a canoe. As I’ve seen it through going down the trails, there are a lot of good bass fishing spots if you have a canoe to fish from.
