although this lake is private, you can ask someone to let you fish there. it is very quiet and it is peaceful. there’s some big fish at the buoy there’s catfish at the buoy but they are hard to catch. there are a couple big bass and a few bass nests here and there. you can swim but they water has bacteria. so mainly just fish
many trophy fish have been caught in the saugatuck, but with the amount of rocky bottoms weeds, and random underwater structures from when they flooded it in the 1900's, you need to be prepared to lose a lot of tackle. I've personally had more success in the early morning, but everyone says the action is in the evening
