Great fishing with a nice variety of species available. Very active in the morning and into the afternoon. Fish respond best to live bait such as frogs, nightcrawlers, and shiners. Big bass in the waters which can be finicky so be patient. Beware of snakes in the area and in the water.
i live right up the hill on the shelton side and i always go down and fish off my kayak or from the shore, waters pretty clear and i can see carp and everything swimming around, also lots of bass, sunfish, perch, and i’ve even caught crappie here. i’ve night fished for catfish once but never got any bites, and i’ve never gotten a pike here but i don’t rlly go for them so idk i might have to try tho
