Little Stoney Creek is a beautiful creek full of deep pools and lots of riffles and pocket water. The scenery is second to none. Absolutely beautiful hike. Stream full of native rainbow and brook trout. Keeping a low profile is absolutely necessary to success. It’s a special regulation stream with single point hook and artificial bait only with a 9in minimum.

Narrows Reservoir is a short walk from parking in the Mill Creek Nature Park ran by the city of Narrows VA. There is some citation size brook trout in this reservoir but they are very spooky. I would recommend fly fishing with a 3-5wt fly rod with an 9ft leader with 3-4ft of 6X tippet. Blue winged olive, caddie, or size 14 stimulAtors should do the trick. Keep a low profile and have some fun.
