Coming from south TX I never expected there to be largemouth bass around the greater SLC area. I know there are smallies around but the Largemouth scene is fun! Wish I found out about it sooner instead of right before I moved. No fishing from any form of watercraft, only shore fishing permitted. PLEASE catch and release.

Lots of fish in the spring, summer, and fall, slows down for the winter. Caught the biggest carp of my life here, was 12 lbs, 2 ounces. Also caught the smallest bluegill of my life, it was literally the size of my finger. Just depends on what your going for and the time of year. Fall is good for carp and catfish, spring, for trout and bluegill, summer, bluegill and bass. Use spinners for specifically trout. Use worms for trout, bluegill, carp, and catfish, then you can use bread for carp as well. Use plastics or worms, or basically anything for bass. I’ve caught a lot of fish there, you just have to know what your doing.
