Canyon is a very clear lake and it’s alway cold, or at least cool. Bass fishing is good when you can find them. If you get to hook up with one of the larger smallmouth bass in this lake, you get a fight to remember. Stripers run on the small to medium size here, but they are always fun to catch.

Many small mouth and rio grandes wish i had worms with me cause that seeks to be all they wanna eat. Caught 4 or 5 on gold fish crackers until it was time to leave.look for little openings in the bushes cause thats where the biggins are or under the bridge. If your looking for gar go under the highway bridge its gar galore down there!
