Do not keep the fish

Extremely pressured and over fished lakes just because of all the groups of people you’ll see out there every day bank fishing, if you do catch fish all us anglers ask if that you release them, Cascade has an abundance of carp spots and the carp do a lot of pressuring to the bass. So keeping carp would not be frowned upon… Let’s keep this lake healthy for the game fish so future generations can enjoy it too. Also if anyone local reads this, stop killing crappie and leaving them on the banks… I’m sure it’s more so a specific group of people doing this, but don’t kill them, just to kill them, if you gut hook them, keep them or at least get them into the bushes / trees for the birds 👍🏼👍🏼

My personal favorite Trout Stream in Southeast MN, by my hometown Chatfield. Grew up fishing here, and have fished it my entire life. A lot of Browns, and some big ones. I have one 21” mounted on my wall from this Creek. If you’re lucky and using the right spinner on said day, you’re able to pull out a Brookie as well. Gorgeous pasture valley easement available for all Trout Anglers that will consist of a decent walk down a steep hill to obtain, but absolutely worth it.
