The Deerfield River is one of the best trout rivers in the east, if not the best. From slow steady water, pools like glass, and fast moving spots, it so much fun to fish. Not to mention that it's beautiful country especially in the fall. There's also plenty of resources along the river in the small towns. Fishing shops, kayaking and rafting, campgrounds etc. The Deerfield should be on every outdoorsman's bucket list. On, and did I mention Fly Fishing 🎣

This spot is an amazing place. A beautiful lakeside hike took me to a clothing optional spot where the smallies were slamming my spinnerbaits like crazy. The slight drizzle and cloud coverage produced good results. I will be coming back for my trout and landlocked salmon!
