Awesome location has a beautiful view and great fishing. For those confused on how to access there is a dirt road that leads down to the lake off of Old Queen Anne Road. If you want to catch easy Largemouths the best way to do so is to go off to the left of the main beach just a little and wade in to about your knees. Use a 5” Senko and the wacky worm technique (very easy to find online if you don’t know how to do so) and it’s so easy a four year old could do it. I haven’t gone a single first cast without catching anything doing this. Hope the info helps and happy fishing!

absolutely great for onshore fishing

I go fishing at Centerville harbor whenever I can. I always do ONSHORE fishing, so I'm not so sure about the fish that are deeper. I use a basic uglystick pole with a fairly heavy weight. For bait, I use squid strips. This bait has caught me just about every type of fish in the harbor, so no artificial lures are needed. Go at high tide. if you are a good caster, you can get your bait far enough out to catch 7 or 8 different species of fish. While fishing here, I've caught Scup, Bluefish, sea robin, north Atlantic pufferfish, northern kingfishers, summer fluke/flounder. Though I haven't caught one, it is possible to catch strippers. I use a slow retrieve method while fishing. Yesterday, I went fishing in miserable conditions here. IN TWO HOURS, I CAUGHT 16 DIFFERENT FISH. Please try this beach if you want to fish onshore.
