Let me start by saying you are NOT allowed to fish here. Signs say no fishing but if you go after the visitor center closes you should be ok, so long as you don’t run into any Karen’s or game wardens. Tons of bluegill and bait fish up shallow. Water is super clear. Was able to sight fish a few chasing bait. Top water bites are fire when the sun goes behind the trees. I dont know what the punishments are for getting caught but it’s a Great place to fish if willing to take the risk.

Excellent spot. Make sure you get permission from the land owner if you’re gonna fish anywhere besides off the road. If you do, there’s loads of clear bank line to fish from. Big main pond with huge bass and cats. There’s a smaller second pond next to it that has a ton of bite sized perch for the kids to go to town on. No trash, the occasional car, and no crowds! This spot is too perfect.
