I have fished this lake for about 10 years and I have to say it is a pretty good spot. Live bait always produces and if you use the right lures, they do too, all catch and release, is nice, so the lake has a large population of bass, crappie, bluegill, and pike. Also a great spot to catch carp and catfish. Walleye are very rare, and so are Muskie, unless you know their patterns, all and all one of my favorite lakes to fish.
plenty of door access during open water months for kids to catch bluegill and the occasional largemouth. During ice season, it is one of the first larger bodies to freeze sure to a minimal flow and current. Easy to get on fish with just a quick sounding and looking at the shoreline.
