More of a park first, fishing lake second sort of deal, and somewhat difficult to fish if you don't know where to look, but boasts a very high diversity of fish species all in the heart of Dallas. Contains creeks that produce just as many, if not more fishing opportunities.
It’s a great spot, lots of holes and different spots to try, with all kinds of species, Karp, shiners, bluegill, channel cats, bass, drums, mostly gar. It’s rugged terrain, watch your steps, slippery and hard rocks, lots of moccasins and other snakes, haven’t been told to keep a ear and eye out for boar, cats, and coyotes, but haven’t experienced nothing, It’s a good spot i would recommend it, just have to be ready for rugged semi difficult 5-15 minute walk depending on the hole, and watch your steps.
