This creek runs through the woods behind my house, so I can easily get there. If you don’t live near it, it’s going to be hard to get to. There aren’t any parking lots or roads around this creek. In the deep pools, there are lots of creek chubs and some brook trout too

I went to Beltzville for the first time today. The 3 lane boat ramp was very nice and there was plenty of parking for everyone, including truck and trailer parking. The water was crystal clear in the morning and the fish were big. We got 8 bass in the boat, 2 catfish and 3 rock bass...not bad for the first time fishing this lake. It was a hot sunny day so we mostly stuck to fishing shadows and lay-downs. The fish were a little lazy and couldn’t be bothered to chase down a meal. But if you can find the fish and put something in front of their face they would eat. The pleasure boaters were a little obnoxious, but that is just a part of sharing the water. By the end of the day the shore had taken such a beating from boat wakes that visibility dropped from about 25 feet to about 4 feet because of all the mud that was kicked up. Bottom line, I will definitely be back and look forward to unlocking all that this lake has to offer. 5 stars!
