quiet, plenty of shore

Absolutely love stampede. Boca is always busier, so the extra fifteen minute drive is worth it. There is a few boat launch areas, but they are spread out and there isn't a lot in the water. Fished from logger campground, so from parking to water was a 30 second handi-cap accessable walk.

Its a Great Lake, you have to find the time and patience to go though! Its a very shallow lake with about 10-12 ft in the deepest spot. I’ve mostly bank fished here but it was very fun! Don’t go between 1-4 pm as of the Sierra mtn winds are strong in the valley there! Ive been there all hours of the day! Just bring a chair kick back and relax and they will come! If you look at my review tags some of them are question marks due to not being around the whole lake. Wheelchairs will be able to come but have trouble in the sandy beach!
