Virginia Lake

Virginia lake WAS home to rainbow trout, larger mouth bass, sunfish and bluegill. But it’s had not been stocked in about 4 YEARS. They now stock the marina in sparks. The only Fish that lives in the lake now is carp because they are vegetarians. All the other fish have slowly dissipated over the years because of the unbalanced food chain due to a lack of stocking the lake with trout and bluegill. This is unfortunate but don’t try your luck unless your going for carp

Water is disgusting impossible to even get a bite, I was here with a couple friends for over 4 hours and didn’t get one bite

it’s a hit or miss spot a couple fish on beds the bass are very finicky but they soon will bite i recommend using a ratl trap or a chatter bait

Fish right on the shore from the dock with worms caught 1 small bass also

If you’re fishing in the Reno area, I’m sure you’ve realized every place in Reno is awful fishing but you wanted to try Virginia lake. I’d rather just fish outa my bathtub because I have a better chance of catching something
