Live right down the road from the lake so it’s definitely my go to lake. Love the north side of the lake. Great cover for bass in the summer time. Nice little creek that connects to another lake that fish use a bit. Nice little point and ledges. Jigs and chatterbaits are my go to for this lake. Not the biggest lake so a 250 horse engine won’t be able to stretch its lakes through the lake. It is a heavily fished lake so the bass are pretty pressured so have to get creative to catch them which is what I like.

if you have not been out here yet then strap on a kayak (don't worry bank fishing is still a great option. Just come early in season before weeds take over) and jump on the 4x4 and head out. Just remember no boat motors of any kind permitted on Whittemore. Beautiful places all around to camp. I usually go out around noon for a couple hours and because im having so much fun exploring the waters I end up paddling back in the dark. There are some huge Sunfish out here! Not to mention perch and of course those big bass. Head out and post them pictures!
