Silver lake can be a little tough to fish at first, but the lake has turned out some big fish for me, along with its other two small ponds that are a blast to fish. Especially the catch and release one. Always has big bass that you can catch almost daily. Been fishing at Black well first preserve for almost 7 years and there is a reason I keep coming back

This lake is pretty great! I’ve only seen a few people fishing at the initial lake itself. But if you follow the path, you will come across a stream which runs pretty far. But past that is a lengthy pond that is stocked with fish! Caught crappie, blue gills, small/large mouths here. It’s not to open so you have to find your own little man made spot. There is a few drop off points that are great for kayaks and other non motor boats. Would recommend this to first timers or anyone in the area that wants to try something else!
