Best when it hasn’t rained or flooded in a while, as it’s name implies the waters get extremely murky. I’m talking less than 6 inches visibility on a white bait. Lots of northern pike, bass, catfish, and bluegill. With lots of little pockets, streams, and a connection to the river at several points depending on water level there are some monsters out here and it’s one of my favorite spots to go

Cold Stream (A.K.A. McLoud Run) is amazing for trout fishing. The water is clear and cold in this little stream. You can see the trout, white suckers, and creek chubs in the water. In some places you need to take a little hike but nothing too bad. Make sure you have a trout license, use artificial lures only, and CATCH AND RELEASE!!!
