Great for Stocker Rainbow and Grayling!

This lake has a great spread of fish. It is an ADFG stocked lake so you’ll be guaranteed Rainbows and Arctic Char as well as Grayling. I’ve fished here numerous times and cannot recommend it enough! There’s tons of room for anglers and (non-motorized) watercraft alike. There’s also trails that lead for miles behind the lake, some of which follow the Chena River which has an inlet that feeds Chena Lake; definitely go hiking back there! I’ve caught some gnarly sized Arctic Grayling, fair warning however, the Grayling in Chena River is no-retention all season, catch-and-release ONLY but it’s still a blast pulling them in :) Definitely explore this lake, and the surrounding rivers! If you want to be alone or have some quiet time whilst you fish, I strongly recommend hitting up the River Park and hiking the trails, during peak hours the lake can get crowded.
