Lovely park to fish and do other activities. Could be one of the best fishing ponds in the Dallas area (once was) but several people show up to eat the fish out of this small library pond. I used to catch 7-10 bass in day. Lucky to get 1-2 now. A shame they even keep the LMBs. They typically don’t care what they keep either and lure LMBs with live bait lol go to the lake! Sucks for all of the catch & release sport anglers or the kids and fam I take here in hopes to catch their first fish. Lots of litter, dead, and toxic contaminants flow into the pond. Good to see folks getting their exercise here almost every day 👍🏾. Even though the fishing has gone downhill, it’s still a nice place to cast. Watch out for tons of birds and bird poo.
They just stocked this area, lots of small bluegill and baby bass
I think it is a good place to Bass fish my first cast I caught a bass it’s not that deep would not recommend cat fishing.
Theres alot of big bass here. One side of the pond is very shallow and the other is deeper. If you want peace and quiet definitely not here alot of joggers and kids.
small pond with Reed area and swallows to practice bank fishing. a 30 foot pier to fish more on the center
Used beef jerky and red worms. Had a lot of senkos and crank baits but didn’t bother as I was going more for blue gill. Not from the area so it was a nice spot good scenery and atmosphere.
