Best time of the year to go is like late June

I got 3 tips for catching stripers at the canal... 1. Go early morning/ late afternoon 2. Fish the bottom (bigger fish will be on bottom) 3. Use white (white has always worked the best for catching stripers, especially white sand eels!)

Cape cod canal

The cape cod canal is definitely an amazing place where fisherman can target many species from striped bass to bluefish and even sailfish that was once caught by a canal fisherman! People line the shoreline early in the morning and sometimes it can get pretty busy. I like to try to catch striped bass and bluefish when I’m there. The canal isn’t only great for fishing but it is also a good place to go for a bike ride and a walk due to its 7 mile shore line!
