Nice lake

More of a park first, fishing lake second sort of deal, and somewhat difficult to fish if you don't know where to look, but boasts a very high diversity of fish species all in the heart of Dallas. Contains creeks that produce just as many, if not more fishing opportunities.

Most of these catches are actually FOSSIL CREEK

Don’t know anything about the training lagoon but almost all these catches are actually at big fossil creek by I35 behind the dominoes and Ghengis grill, below the parking platform or from the platform itself. Big fossil creek is a wonderful place to fish, usually clear water to sight fish for sunfish (7 species of sunfish reside here) and to catch the bass which are on the smaller side but bite on everything. I’ve personally caught only one bass here over 4 pounds.
