I have heard a lot of people brag about other lakes being more productive in terms of catching Largemouth Bass. I am here to tell you, there is no other lake in the hills that has better Bass fishing than this one. I have fished it for years and have always had very good experiences. Rarely do I ever get skunked, I can count on one hand how many times I got skunked at this lake in the past ten years and I fish only artificial baits. Apart from the fishing, it’s great for camping and chilling on one of it swim beaches. I take the family out there at least once every other week during the summer.

I've been fishing here since 2014, I love fishing here and sure the weeds are bad but I rarely catch anything other than keeping size. As well, I do see others fishing from the shore almost at all times a day! So the only time it is going to be completely empty, is when it's 2 AM on Christmas morning, or during a severe thunder storm. It an amazing place to go fishing, and if you still need to get your license for the year, right outside of the park, you can get a license! Have fun!
