Colyer Lake is a beautiful place for lots of activities, including boating, fishing, hiking, riding bikes, and photography, etc. The lake holds a variety of fish species, pickerel, bass, crappie, sunfish, perch, and frogs! But one thing to keep in mind is that so far (2021) it is still a "Catch and Release" lake. Please help to maintain the ecosystem of this lake. The trails are well built, which attract many people hiking and cycling. The lake and the surrounding hills look beautiful, so it's a nice place to take pictures. There used to be a portal restroom in the parking lot, which is absent recently (Jan 2021), may be due to the pandemic. In short, Coyler lake is a wonderful place to spend some cozy hours with friends, families, or even by yourself.
This creek provides several honey holes for smallmouth bass. Starting from kish bank, you can find access to the tiny dam and walk back alone the creek. Alone the creek, it is extremely rocky and hard to walk. Make sure you wear jeans to prevent getting cut by rocks.
