Caught a stocker bow where Poplar meets the Upper Savage but walked the creek for a few hundred meters. 1st day of trout season and the creek and river were blown out! Poplar Creek with the exception of a small pool at its head was roaring like a class three rapid. Buddy of mine that has fished it says normally it’s a little him blue line with aggressive Brooke’s. Has a nice picnic area and campsite with plenty of parking. I’ll be back when the flows are normal. Looks like a classic Brookie stream.
