so far I've only fished the base of the Brighton Dam but I've caught a 5lb striper on a 1/4 oz inline spinner here back on opening day March 2020. another guy caught a decent sized Pike on a spoon on the same day I caught that striper. I hear that walleyes and muskies from downriver in rocky gorge area run up here during the spring. I have yet to catch one of those, but telling from my juvenile experience here along with the decent fish tales I've heard around here, I can tell that this whole WSSC area is a great place to target big fish!

Bluegill!

This place has got to be one of my main fishing spots, and I couldn’t help but leave a review. I’ve found lots of bluegill around here, mainly off the trail that connects the dam and harford glen. The bait I ended up using was fake minnow lures to try and catch these guys, and it worked. They love to swim around and eat at the lures, and you can see them doing it if the water isn’t so murky, which is even better. Definitely give this place a try if you want rather smaller fish, such as bluegill. (There’s also a lot of bass and fall fish too!) I would recommend either park at harford glen and take the trail, or, park alongside the bottom of Montrose Way and there’s a rocky path you can take into the reservoir.
