Farm Pond is a great place for beginner anglers in the Framingham area. This pond is pretty shallow but has substantial vegetation and fish habitat. This pond will allow you to practice the skills that will translate to bigger bodies of water. New to kayak fishing? Bring out your kayak and launch it to work on your setup. Practice on this smaller pond before making your way to the larger reservoirs. Not a ton of pressure on this pond which will allow you to practice different techniques. Distinctly different types of structure helps with that as well. You probably won’t pull out a monster but I haven’t been skunked yet. Largemouth Bass and Chain Pickerel are prevalent with Yellow Perch scattered in. Parking is limited but I’ve never seen it full. Plenty of fishable shoreline on the West side. Great place for kids and beginner anglers.
My friends caught some bass and I caught my first pickral there and if you are looking to catch some bluegill that is an amazing place to go and if you go in around may then you will have a feeling you are in the middle of nowhere. I love going here I hope you fish here someday too
