I lived in Naples for three years, and McArthur was the nearest body of water. the lake has a healthy amount of fish and a various amount of species. the lake however is not good for most boats due to the vegetation that grows so thick. but I would totally recommend getting a kayak and go out into different parts of the lake and explore. I've personally seen three different types of trout, perch, bluegill/pumpkinseed, tench and the occasionally would get a crappie. it is a very good lake for getting multiple species.
It was really weedy and tons of lily which are taking over but it over the past few weeks it’s nice and shallow, you’d probably have to use a boat in the summer when the lilies take over. As far as I’m concerned it’s most likely private because I only saw property owners out but me and my cousin walked the tracks and slid down the side of the track, one older guy yelled at us for being here but we had a note from one of my cousins friends to fish (only because he passed as we were unloading and gave us it expecting this guy to give us a hard time) other than that I’d recommend fishing where you can and goodluck
