I’ve caught snook, redfish, juvenile tarpon, trout, big jacks, black drum, ladyfish, and mulhara. Area where it necks down right at the ICW is good. Mostly access by boat except small bridge on Overbrook Rd. Go slooow - idle speed manatee zone. They are everywhere.
If you got there after 7pm-8pm and say until 11pm-12pm - you can catch a whole lot of good fish. June 22, 2022 I got around 10 snappers, 5 keeper size. 3 of them were over 14 inches. Also got about 7-10 snooks, some of them were pretty big, definitely over 25 inches. Love this place! Loose hooks occasionally, but it’s worth it. Knocker rig do best for me! And snapper hooks, number 1-2. You really don’t need big hooks. Size 2 circle hook - max!
