I have been out to lake maitland 3 times Now. it is a awesome lake. It ranges from 2ft -25ft of water I have read at it’s deepest so far on my fish finder. Their is an awesome little island to chill on if you need a break from being on the water! I my self have chilled on it a lot! But on the weekend do to the island their is high boat and jet ski traffic so keep that in mind if your also a kayaker like myself. Regarding the fishing! So far it is great. I haven’t landed anything over 3 lbs yet but I know they are their, I have hooked a couple 5+ lbs bass and lost them in weeds, also I have hooked massive gar, and chain pickerel, but lost them as well, and I even saw a good 20+ lbs carp swimming in shallows once. So the fish are their!
