I fish here every year and I’ve caught tons of sheepies, mackeral and drum out here but it just gets a little crowded sometimes and it can become hard to find a fishing spot on the pier (sometimes). Also get there early in the morning because parking gets taken up really fast and it’s hard to find other parking spots near the pier once it’s taken up (parking also costs money there).
This place rocks! Not only is it very beautiful, surrounded by great people, and full of cool wildlife, the fishing is great. I hadn't even fished saltwater once before I went here, and I managed to catch about 4 different species, and 8 fish total in only about 3 hours. Saw a lot more species I didnt catch too, like Snook. Full of bait that's easy to catch too, which the fish love. Dolphins are there most mornings, and the fish are big and easy to catch from a dock or bridge with live bait.
