Fishing at McLaren is risky it’s not legal usually park rangers come around 5 pm to close the gate for parking but the park is still open the upper reservoir pond is not bad for fishing and we caught a large mouth bass in under 20 minutes but they are little dinks not a lot over 2 pounds and at the duck pond there are carp but in the upper pond there are blue gill I believe and bass also people don’t mind u fishing
If you ever decide to fish at this lake, you will find yourself catching a ton of bluegill, and the occasional spotted bass. Then you will plop your worm in and hook a catfish, maybe your PB. But then your line will ducking snap and you will find yourself defeated. Catfish 1 Kaleo 0
