Who would suspect that in this plain as day lake with a max depth of 20 feet, that there would be such large fish here! I have witnessed firsthand a 50 lb flathead caught and released in this lake. I wouldn’t doubt that there is a fish double that size in here. No bs, phantom has giant fish no doubt but with Kirby, it’s a real challenge with the rocks and things to get hung up on. You really have to fish here and learn what works and what doesn’t. So many places for fish to hide and cut the angler off. It’s definitely not a beginner lake for bank fishing, because of how much tackle you’ll loose if you’re not careful.
