Awesome little lake with lots of bass

Spent about 6 hours on my fishing kayak here and had a great time catching bass. Got to the boat launch parking lot on Pine Trail at around 5:40am on a Saturday morning in August and i couldn’t believe there were already 4-5 cars in the lot. I did read somewhere the lot can fill up quickly and can accommodate about 8 cars with trailers. So be sure to get there early! The entire time i think i was one of only 4 car top boats in the lake (2 of the kayakers were not even fishing and the other was a canoe). There were a good amount of bass fishing boats on the water and a few speed boats too. Some of the bass boaters don’t know much about fishing etiquette as they were crowding my space at times and talking loudly. I fished the bank for most of the time, pitching into cover and in almost all of those areas, the vegetation was fairly heavy. Lily pads on the surface and tons of plants in the water. I chose to fish a top water lure for most of the time and caught a few decent size largemouth bass. Using my Garmin Striker 4, the depth never got more than 16 ft but i didn’t explore the entire lake, but i felt like i covered a good amount. I did venture into the center of the lake at times but the depth was still never more than in the teens (hope my fish finder isn’t broken!) There aren’t any places to do shoreline fishing unfortunately. You could fish from the boat ramp but i didn’t see anywhere else. Overall, great place for boat fishing with a decent size parking lot by the boat launch. Just be sure to arrive early
