Clear Creek

The closest stream to Bloomington, Clear Creek actually extends beyond what this app says it does. Lots of smallmouth and a lot of diversity in other fish species as well. Don’t be surprised if a drum swims by. Accessibility can be an issue. It’s definitely for wading not canoeing. Great place though.

Awesome spot. Low crowd. Had to fight for the corner, though. Stinks of sulphur.

This water is the outflow from Lake Monroe. Near the dam are bluegill, crappie, hybrid striped bass, and walleye. The outflow aerates the water providing a rich environment for the fish. The flow can reach up to 16,000 gallons per second to reduce the lake levels, so anglers must heed the warning sirens that precede the increase. The picnic area and playgrounds are wheelchair accessible, but the banks are not.

This is actually salt creek below monroe reservoir dam. depending on the water being discharged it can be a great fishing experience. some nice trophy sized fish get caught here occasionally.
