Fishing’s always better In daylight. She was a shorty but PLENTY thiccc. Chatter bait hook sets have to be my favorite. Again, if it goes weightless, THROW THE HOOK!

Short & Thicc... got zero problems with that 🤣 Working a 1oz Jointed topwater slender wake bait. The fish tore the paint job right off the with a single hit.... that’s some serious force... tight lines y’all 🤙

Given the plethora of free time that most of us now have, I’ve been reluctant to throw up pictures for fear of people coming down and over-fishing lakes and spots... keep something in mind people; if you’re fishing your local lakes with no luck, changing lakes (and in some cases zip codes) ain’t gunna help you.... try researching lures and techniques and seasonal patterns instead; you’ll catch more fish of better quality.... ohh yeah and this fish was a beast

Weeds make it difficult but the Lake is beautiful! Nassau needs more lakes accessible via boats...

This review includes the entire stretch of the lower lake, the reservoir and the creek. All are fantastic places to catch fish. In the winter time, focus on the deeper pools and spillways. Sometimes fish will come to very sunny areas to warm up. The creek is also fantastic. All of my catches from these bodies of water have happened with very short casts. There are huge carp present but be very quiet if you wish to catch one. The summer time, I hear many complaints about the weeds and pads. As an angler I see this as a MAJOR opportunity to find the bass. Work weedless frogs over the pads and weeds, and drop weedless senkos around the thick cover. If you see clear pathways, use small crankbaits or jerk baits. During the winter, in-line spinnerbaits, small swim shads and suspending jerkbaits work very well, if you work them slow and steady. But when in doubt, worms work. Nonetheless, this place is beautiful and hard to imagine it’s just a skipping stone away from sunrise highway and the railroad tracks. Enjoy the views and fish!

love going to this preserve it has a paved path and tons of spots to fish if you get discouraged don't worrie this lake takes time to get used to but you won't be disappointed

There is just to many weeds, there was one spot out of the whole lake where there wasn’t any weeds but I was there for about 3hrs and caught nothing😭

More weeds than fish

Pumpkinseeds are my favorite species and they seem to have the prettiest ones. I love fishing there cause the water is so clear and there's always an abundance of life. I'd definitely recommend fishing there I'd you ever get the chance.
