Great place for beginners

There is a spot for bullhead and then along the damn you can get some pan fish a bass. I have seen I lot of pictures of channel catfish but until I get one I think this will stay a 4 star

The place may have fish but it is over fished, I remember back in 2019 there were insane amount of fish now there’s not that many left

Fish species most notable here are panfish (sunfish & crappie), largemouth bass, and some catfish. There are numerous areas for bank fishing, though I prefer wading. The lake is generally shallow and wading gets you pretty far. Fishing kayaks are possible, but not really needed; no gas engines. Ultralight fishing can be pretty good here. The fishing here is (in my history) more reliable than highly-pressured Burke Lake, but the size of catches is generally smaller. Also, this waterway does not have any known snakehead infestation, my species-of-choice.
