Farm Pond is a great place for beginner anglers in the Framingham area.  This pond is pretty shallow but has substantial vegetation and fish habitat.  This pond will allow you to practice the skills that will translate to bigger bodies of water.  New to kayak fishing?  Bring out your kayak and launch it to work on your setup.  Practice on this smaller pond before making your way to the larger reservoirs.  Not a ton of pressure on this pond which will allow you to practice different techniques.  Distinctly different types of structure helps with that as well.  You probably won’t pull out a monster but I haven’t been skunked yet. Largemouth Bass and Chain Pickerel are prevalent with Yellow Perch scattered in.  Parking is limited but I’ve never seen it full.  Plenty of fishable shoreline on the West side.  Great place for kids and beginner anglers.

Great place to learn

Fished here twice so far and haven’t been skunked yet.  Tons is bluegill, bass and chain pickerel.  Not very deep though.  I haven’t yet but it seems like a great place to kayak fish as well but then you have the problem with the boat ramp.  Every time i’ve been to the boat ramp it’s filled with latinos blasting music and smoking weed.  One time one of them was parked directly in front of the boat ramp.  It didn’t prevent me from fishing the boat ramp but good luck launching your kayak like that and careful bringing your kids there to fish.  Also not a whole lot of spots to park especially not when there’s 5-6 cars with people smoking pot.
